And that's the max? 6 months?
I saw the video of this accident and it was just super shitty, super negligent driving by the driver. It wasn't someone coming out of nowhere or a lot of traffic or anything beyond driving too fast and concentrating on her phone instead of her job. Oh, and I believe if memory serves me right, this was the second time this particular driver hit someone (the first time didn't result in death).
Something doesn't seem right about 6 months for extinguishing a life.
